I just read that former Vice President Teofisto Guingona is now the country’s ambassador to China.
He’s now with the administration again. It’s weird. He should be in the streets leading the militants and the opposition in protest like what he did during the Estrada regime. There are many issues for him to take up–not just foreign intervention and the surrender of the national patrimony but also the administration’s anti-people policies such as the increased VAT.

ugh. it happens most of the time. politicians na mga “balimbing”… tsk. tsk.
so true.
poor guingona. some even question his capability to hold such new post because of his age. 😉
I’ve written a little piece on this one too (theradioroom.blogspot.com). I used to cover Guingona when he was still a VP. Elocutionist of the old school. A political deadwood, really, it still a wonder why GMA should ply him with an offer like this.
Salut !
