Kris Aquino and the Hacienda Luisita Massacre

Whenever I think of the Hacienda Luisita violence that killed 14 people–mostly farmers and workers–I couldn’t help being reminded of Kris Aquino and the obscene display of her luxurious life on national television.

Kris is a daughter of former President Corazon Cojuangco Aquino, one of the owners of Hacienda Luisita. She loves talking about fashion, clothes, and jewelry and models for a whitening soap, among other products.

While bloghopping, I found Len Olea’s blog. She wrote:

Wow. Love this blogsite. Very entertaining for a Flip like me who feels so alienated and alone here in Kyle, Texas.
OT – Very intelligent ang comments ni Jinky – laughing out loud-rolling off the floor (LOLROF) ang effect sa akin. At the same time, it makes me so proud of the fact that Filipinos have great minds – basket case nga lang ang bottom line of the economic status of the Philippines. How come, sa galing ng mga Filipinos, when it comes to intellectualism and rationale, palpak naman ang results for everybody in the pot. We even end up fighting each other in this blog about who is smarter.

What if: Gloria Mac-Arroyo is the commander in chief, in charge of the military. If military men did the killings in the Hacienda, was it somehow sanctioned by the commander to give the Aquino owners a very bad name and to make the owners stinky in the eyes of the Filipinos?

Money cannot buy you class, manners, and a good upbringing. Kris is a cheap ugly baduy Michael Jackson type who is really forcing attention on herself. She’s just the kind that is not important and should just be ignored while the pig rolls in the mud. She pays products/companies to get on the billboards and ads. There are two kinds of popular people: one is where someone is really talented with great intentions and the public are really seeking them, the other kind is the talentless person who makes themselves appear to be popular despite that the public could care less about them. I think her mother Corazon also pays for publicity too (it’s their family trait), because she changed the name of the airport and put her husband on the P500 bill and did that stupid holiday. She did all those, not any other people. Her and her family are complete idiots with no conscience and common sense. Ninoy Aquino didn’t do anything for the country or people. A hero would be great ones like the great past presidents or historic figures like Rizal. Not Ninoy. What he was was stupid for returning because he knew he was not welcome at all! Then along comes his ugly wife (Kris’ mother) who was almost like an Estrada case (no credibility) and just took over. The truth was no one else was there to take over, and the people weren’t really seeking her. That family are the real crooks and thieves because they helped in getting the Marcoses down and they even “confiscated” some of the Marcoses belongings, which may have indeed been purchased from their own money. Also, notice how the country fell backward when Corazon Aquino was the “president.” Kris is an example of her family – just screaming for attention and fame. I don’t think they received enough attention when they were young. Maybe left in private schools. All of this and all that they have done and what they do really justifies what they really are doing towards the farmers of the hacienda. So there’s no question on who the problem parties are.

kris has gone through great trials in life as a child, as a struggling teenager, as a live-in partner and as a wife…
she works hard

this is very entertaining. people in showbiz keeps us entertained and in return they make all the bucks and enjoy all the luxuries life has to offer.

Kris Aquino, Mikee Cojuanco and the other little minions of the Cojuanco-Aquino clan may not be the ones managing the hacienda, but they sure are reaping the fruits of the harvest. They are as guilty as their fore-fathers. These families get money from Hacienda. Yes, Kris & Mikee are also working, but their money before they got into showbiz comes from the backbones of the sakadas. Even now, they (parents, grandparents, children of the Cojuanco-Aquino clan) continue to receive money/trust funds.
Also, for Kris Aquino to publicly concede that her luxury comes from the katas ng Hacienda Luisita confirms my belief that she is a selfish, spoiled, ignorant brat just like Mikee Cojuanco, whose horses live in a air-conditioned stables in the Hacienda, but the workers are cramped like sardines in unsanitized and dangerous living condition.
